Two Emerald Cup judges joined forces recently to taste and judge hundreds of cannabis flower samples submitted for the 2014 Emerald Cup — Kevin Jodrey of Wonderland Nursery and The Ganjier and Pearl Moon of Bud Sisters share in this podcast how they evaluate each entry and what aspects are most important. The Emerald Cup is the world’s longest running outdoor organic cannabis competition, held this year in Santa Rosa, California Dec. 13-14.

Kevin and Pearl are two of about two dozen judges. With roughly 600 entries in the Emerald Cup this year (3x what they’ve had before!), all the judges are meeting frequently within their subgroups so all strains are given a fair chance to shine before the Emerald Cup kicks off next Saturday.

In this podcast, these two Emerald Cup judges along with Ganjier editor Allison Edrington and Joyce Centofanti of Bud Sisters talk over entry-filled joints about how each strain is analyzed.
